About Asia Surf Charters

Jump aboard the Asia and you’ll find a surf charter set up for serious waves, island hopping and a relaxed live-aboard vibe. Built in 2001 in Padang, the boat has since been refurbished (2019) to ensure guest comfort while retaining its rugged Indonesian-style heritage.

The Asia is 20.20 m long (approx 70 ft), with a comfortable beam (4.46 m) and a stable hull that handles long crossings across the Mentawai and Telo island chains. Two decks create social and chill spaces: front and back deck areas ideal for sunset beers or lounging after surf sessions, plus a modernised saloon / dining area down below where guests can relax, watch a movie via the onboard sound/TV system, or recharge between sessions.

Sleeping quarters are dormitory-style, air-conditioned and fitted with fresh linen, charging points and bedside lamps for comfort.

On the water, Asia Surf Charters aims to deliver a classic Indonesian surf-boat experience: early-morning surf runs, sunset beers, fishing or snorkelling on smaller days, and above all, access to some of the world’s best reef-breaks across Mentawai and Telo. Routes are flexible - the crew read swell, wind and tide to position you where the surf is best.

• 35% non-refundable deposit required to secure your booking.
• Remaining 65% due 60 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy

• All deposits and payments are non-refundable under any circumstances.
• If a guest can no longer attend the trip, the booking may be transferred to another person only if approved in advance by the operator.
• Date changes are generally not accepted, as trips are scheduled around full-boat bookings.
• Guests are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance including: medical evacuation, trip cancellation, trip interruption, lost or damaged equipment, missed connections.
