Life here moves with the tides. Every day includes two boat trips to the best waves of the moment, guided by locals who grew up surfing this coastline. With 25+ surf spots in reach - from playful, forgiving reefs to hollow, advanced waves - the strike rate is high and the crowds thin. This is a camp designed for surfers who want time in the water, not a resort itinerary. Confident intermediates and advanced surfers will get the most out of the program, while optional surf lessons can be arranged for progressing guests.

Food is a highlight. Stays include three delicious home-cooked meals daily, drawing on Indonesian, Mentawaian and Western-inspired dishes. Think fresh fish, island vegetables, nasi campur, coconut curries, simple pasta nights, fruit platters and snacks between sessions. Coffee, tea, drinking water and one fresh young coconut daily are unlimited and included. Evenings are slow and communal - sharing surf stories, reviewing clips, or listening to the breeze through the coconut trees.

Despite being remote, Aleikoat is comfortable. There is unlimited Wi-Fi, generator power at night, solar power during the day for charging, and the kind of quiet island vibe you cannot find in the more developed zones. You are also minutes from a beautiful white-sand beach on the other side of the island for snorkelling, reading or simply disappearing between surfs.

Getting here is straightforward: fly to Padang, overnight if needed, catch the Mentawai Fast Boat to Siberut on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday, and the Aleikoat team handles harbour pickup and drop-off. They can also arrange an optional transport & stay package in Padang, including hotel, all transfers, fast ferry tickets and even the return board-bag fee from Siberut to Padang. Minimum stay is seven nights, and arrivals follow the ferry schedule.

• Remaining 65% due 60 days before arrival.

Cancellation Policy

• Deposit to secure booking is non refundable
• No refunds for no-shows, early departures, illness or injury
• A replacement guest may be nominated 7 days before arrival (written notice required)
