Togat Nusa is a private-island surf and yoga retreat on tiny Pitojat Island, off northern Sipora. The setup is intentionally small, hosting about 8–10 guests in hand-crafted bungalows tucked under palms, so days feel quiet, personal and unhurried. You wake to white sand and lagoon water, load the skiff, and point at a cluster of quality reefs within short boat range.

The wave map is classic North Sipora. Nearby options include Scarecrows out front, Telescopes for long runners, Icelands when the ocean is flexing, and Suicides on the right day. The team times runs to wind and tide so you are chasing windows rather than names.

Life between surfs is easy. The retreat focuses on healthy, fresh meals and a daily yoga program designed to keep you loose for the next session. Evenings roll from beach to communal table to stargazing, with the island’s low-key vibe doing the rest.

Boats are built for the job. The 9-metre aluminium Sibex with twin 200 hp outboards handles further runs, while local boats cover the close radius. Longer exploring to Playgrounds or Katiet can be arranged on a day-rate basis for the boat.

Getting There

• Mentawai Surf Tax: IDR 2,000,000 per guest (≈ USD 150), paid in cash on arrival
  10% tax (added to trip price)

Booking Policy

• 35% non-refundable deposit required to secure your booking.
• Remaining 65% due 60 days before arrival.
• Guests must arrive in Padang the day before trip start
• Spending a night in Padang before and after the retreat is mandatory
• Transport package guests are met at Padang airport
• If organising transport yourself, you must meet the group in Tuapejat on the trip start date.

Cancellation Policy

• Deposit: Non-refundable, except if the resort cancels the booking. If the resort cancels guests may choose alternative dates or full deposit refund.
• Guest-initiated Cancellations: Less than 60 days before arrival - No financial refund. Stay may be rebooked within 12 months (subject to availability). Within 14 days of arrival (no-show / last-minute): Booking is forfeited in full. Trip cannot be rescheduled.
• Early Departure: No refunds for unused nights. Unused nights cannot be transferred or rescheduled.
• Weather Conditions: No refunds or changes due to poor surf, rain, swell inconsistency, or general weather. Surf conditions are outside of resort control.
• Force Majeure: For unavoidable extraordinary events (natural disasters, government restriction, etc.): Resort may amend, reschedule, or cancel. Alternative dates offered. No cash refunds unless cancellation originates from the resort side.
• Travel Responsibility: Guests responsible for flights, visas, insurance. Strong recommendation for comprehensive travel insurance.
